Candy Containers

Christmas candy containers were made primarily in Germany and Japan. Older candy containers are most often German in origin and can be found in a variety of fanciful shapes (usually made from paper mache or felt) such as nuts and fruits, animals, footballs, birdhouses, Kris Kringle Santa and Bellsnickles, Boots, elves and nodders. Victorian Dresden candy containers are especially in demand and command high prices at auction.
