Vintage Christmas Lighting - Other
Electric Christmas light sets were introduced in 1907 and quickly became popular. The first outdoor Christmas lights appeared on a community tree in Pasadena, California in 1909, followed by trees in New York City and Cleveland Ohio in 1912. By the 1930's, outdoor Christmas lights were widely used to light homes throughout the USA.
Vintage Christmas light sets include those multicolored strings of bulbs in bakelite sockets (with or without clips) popular in sizes including G8, C6 through C9 and larger. Common in the mid 20th century, popular manufacturers were Noma and Mazda.
